I work with a number of issues that affect adults. When working with adults, I most frequently use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, however I also rely upon psychotherapeutic techniques that are more depth oriented and supportive for the long term. I will work with you to determine what it is that you seek from therapy and how to best achieve the results that you are looking for.

What is CBT?
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy relies on largely verbal learning principles —namely, those that involve cognition (perception, thinking, reasoning, attention and judgment). The basic strategy is to change the thoughts, beliefs, assumptions and attitudes that are contributing to the client’s emotional or behavioral problems. Once you change the distorted thinking pattern, you can change the way you feel and behave.
CBT is a rapid, results oriented, highly studied and evidence based form of psychotherapy. CBT is instructive, using homework assignments and other means to achieve results quickly
